YOU CAN BUY MENOMONIE FARMERS MARKET TOKENS WITH YOUR SNAP CARD!

 Tokens are available for purchase during any Menomonie Farmers Market events in Wilson park. 

To use EBT at Menomonie farmers market:

​

1. Visit the Market's  information table  located in the middle of the pavilion and let the staff know you want to use your SNAP dollars to buy food. 

​

2. The market manager will swipe your EBT card at a central POS device and give you green plastic tokens  in exchange. You'll get one token for every SNAP dollar you want to spend. 

​

3. You can then use the green market tokens to shop at eligible food booths in the market. When you're done shopping, farmers trade the tokens with market staff for payment. Tokens don't expire, but you can't exchange them for cash. You can keep them to use on a future trip to the market.

Please note that we can not honor tokens purchased at other markets.

Each market is operated independently and USDA funds from your SNAP card are deposited to the operating account at the time of transaction.

Farmers market tokens act as our market SNAP currency, and each token is worth $1 in farmers market dollars. These tokens can be spent at Menomonie Farmers Market vendor booths for any SNAP-eligible items. 

There will be no change from a vendor given back in cash. 

 

YOU CAN ALSO BUY FARMERS MARKET TOKENS WITH YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD!

A minimum purchase with a debit/credit card is $20, with $2 processing fee to cover the expense of electronic transaction. All tokens purchased with a debit or credit card can be redeemed for SNAP-eligible items only!

The Menomonie Farmers Market has over 50 vendors offering SNAP-eligible items, making farmers market tokens a great way to support locally owned businesses while shopping for fresh produce and artisanal food items!
