Dunn County Genealogical Society

The purpose of this non-profit organization is to strive to fulfill the following objectives:
a. To stimulate genealogical communication, education, interest and exchange of information to/with individuals and organizations.
b. To provide instruction and/or assistance through educational programs, workshops, or seminars to its members and the general public.
c. To encourage the collection, preservation and maintenance of all genealogical or historical materials for public accessibility, avoiding duplication of efforts.
d. To champion ethical standards and to discourage, oppose and alert the public to incompetent, misleading, disreputable and fraudulent practices in the field of genealogy.
e. To foster careful documentation and promote scholarly genealogical research, writing and publication.
f. To encourage public access to records and to keep members informed of current legislation.
