  • How can I sell at the Menomonie Farmers Market?
The first step is to review our rules and resources and then submit our New Vendor form. All new vendors are reviewed by our board of directors for approval, ensuring that your business aligns with market rules and regulations.
  • What is for sale at the farmers market?
The best way to see what is available on a specific day is to visit the market! A typical market day has 30-40 vendors selling vegetables, fruits, flowers, eggs, meats, cheese, baked goods, canned goods, jellies/jams and handmade/handcrafted items. The vegetables, fruits and flowers are all locally grown, so availability varies widely throughout the season and is based on weather conditions.
  • Can I bring my pets to the market?
We enjoy having our furry friends visit us at the market. To ensure the comfort and safety for everyone on market days: - Pets must be kept on a short, non-expandable leash and be kept under control by their handler's side at all times - Pets need to be kept away from all produce, plants, and other food products - baked goods and ready to eat foods are especially tempting, but it's critical that all non-humans stay way from the food items at the market. This means both the head and tail ends! - If your pet touches any food items or ruins any non-food items that you personally have not purchased, you will be expected to purchase it from the vendor or reimburse the customer if they have already purchased the item. - Owners must come prepared to clean up after their pets! - Not everyone is a pet lover: Be considerate. If a pet is not behaving in accordance with these rules, the market staff or volunteers will ask the owner to remove it from under the pavilion or from the park entirely.
  • Does the market close in bad weather?
The market is open rain or shine. If a severe storm occurs during the market, vendors and customers are directed to use the bathrooms located in the band shell. For winter markets, as long as the Raw Deal is open to the public, the markets will be held as scheduled.
  • Can I use a credit card or electronic payment at the market?
YES! You can stop at the Market Information booth and use your credit or debit card to purchase Market Tokens to be used with any vendor at the market. Some vendors also accept cards, PayPal, Venmo, etc. right at their tables.
  • Can I use foodshare benefits at the market?
Absolutely! Bring your SNAP/EBT card to the Market Information Booth and use it to purchase tokens that can be spent on foodshare eligible items being sold at the market. Menomonie Farmers Market also offers a Market Match program to match your FoodShare dollars. Learn more here.
  • Where can I find the information booth and market manager table?
The Information Booth/Market Manager table will be located at the center of the pavilion when you enter from the market parking lot. Ask any vendor and they should be able to point you in the right direction.
  • Who runs the market?
The Menomonie Farmers Market is a local not-for-profit organization, guided by a volunteer board of directors comprised of market vendors, and managed by a hired market manager. In 2024, the market was able to incorporate as it's own organization, Menomonie Farmers Market Inc. Prior to 2024, the Menomonie Farmers Market was managed by West CAP.
  • Can I collect signatures, solicit sales, or engage in political conversations at the market?
No soliciting by political, commercial, or other special cause groups or individuals is permitted within the boundaries of the market during market hours. As a 501(c)(3) public charity, Menomonie Farmers Market is diligent in providing a non-partisan, apolitical and non-religious environment for all community members to enjoy. Please alert someone at the Information table if you are aware of such activities taking place within the market. The Market Manager will simply ask those groups or individuals to move their activities to a spot outside of the market space.
